2008 Development of an orthopedic pillow in various textile versions for outdoor use and medical care

2010 Filing of the first patent application (priority) with the German Patent and Trademark Office;
Further development of the pillow and production of a test series for patients, development partner: Matherm Wollwarenfabrik GmbH, Philippsthal/Werra

2011 Filing of the second patent application with the European Patent Office as "Medical travel and rest pillow with external pillow cover, variable for the cervical and lumbar spine" (priority 2010)

2012 Registration of the trademark atlas-medLINE

2013 Certification of patent EP 2454971 by the European Patent Office (after two years of examination with amendments) Production of 1,000 inflatable PVC pillows, atlas-medLINE Air, in Germany, Air pillow production in China (personal on-site production monitoring)

2014 Personal marketing of the air pillow variant via commission agreements (approx. 50 outdoor stores in Germany) to evaluate market acceptance

2015 Personal discontinuation of marketing the products of the pillow concept due to potential undue influence (professional code of conduct) Medical Association (advantaged product advertising for practicing physicians is prohibited)

2016 The search for licensees begins

2017 Notarization of the utility model for a sleeping pillow variant

2017 License agreement with RECURAS UG as the sole licensee

2019 New exclusive license agreement with the managing director of mySheepi GmbH; a green sheep conquers the world of pillows

2021 Filing and registration of a utility model for the sleeping pillow variant with a medical focus

2022 Termination of the license agreement with the exclusive licensee

2023 Licensing of the pillow concept to Oberbadische Bettfedernfabrik in Lörrach! The 125-year-old traditional company and one of the last fully integrated bed feather factories in Germany produces the mySmile sleeping pillow variant as a pure fiber pillow, a feather/down/fiber hybrid pillow!

2024 Start of collaboration with GÖCKENER GMBH in Ahaus, a company known for its expertise and innovative approach to manufacturing, and which produces my atlas-medLINE AIR travel pillow in its inflatable version in Germany.

2025 "Founder" at age 82: Launch of independent marketing for the travel pillow variants, registration of the EU design patent for the new air pillow variant, certification of all travel pillow variants as "Ergonomic Products."
